Modern Poggenpohl galley kitchen with Saarinen table and neutral palette. Interior design by Thad Hayes. Photo by Scott Frances, Architectural Digest, June 2007.
College roommates and colleagues Thad Hayes (an interior designer) and Doug Reed (a landscape architect) collaborated on this sleek, modern home in rural Massachusetts, designed by architect Maryann Thompson. The kitchen, by Poggenpohl, is part of a hallway that runs through the residence. “There’s a spatial ambiguity that I love,” says Thompson. “Cooking and living and eating come together in a very fluid way.”
